With 13 years of experience in Corporate Sustainability (ESG) and Public Affairs in the Food and Health sectors, I support businesses in developing authentic sustainability strategies, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, and addressing societal expectations related to sustainability. The Netherlands

Led the development and execution of Centrient’s ambitious Sustainability/ESG framework, integral to the company’s strategic differentiation in the industry. Spearheaded Centrient’s inaugural Sustainability (ESG) Strategy, achieving a coveted EcoVadis Gold rating with regular reporting to the ExCo and Bain Capital Board. Orchestrated an international, cross-functional team to meet company-wide Sustainability (ESG) KPIs and seamlessly integrated sustainability principles across various functions including HR, Procurement, Operations, and Marketing. Actively drove advocacy efforts and social impact initiatives on critical sustainability issues such as Antimicrobial Resistance and Climate Change through targeted industry engagements, thought leadership content, and media outreach. Represented Centrient in high-profile public-private partnerships like the Reducing Antibiotic Manufacturing Pollution Platform (RAMP) and on influential external boards including the AMR Industry Alliance and Medicines for Europe Association.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

Managed marketing for Centrient's key antibiotic product portfolio in Europe, leading issue marketing campaigns that linked the product's value proposition to sustainability concerns. Additionally, I drove Centrient's Sustainable Antibiotics campaign and advanced the Antimicrobial Resistance agenda across Europe and the Americas. Building crucial relationships with international organizations, NGOs, and governments, I promoted solutions aligned with Centrient's strategic goals. Moreover, I supported our sales team by translating global issues into compelling sustainable value propositions through the development of tailored materials and presentations.

Managed comprehensive relationship management with key UN agencies through impactful public-private partnerships and coordinated internal engagement via an employee outreach program focused on partnership and sustainability initiatives. Oversaw day-to-day activities and partnerships with UN World Food Programme and UNICEF, including project coordination, fundraising efforts exceeding 4 million euros, advocacy campaigns, and event planning. Coordinated an international, cross-functional team to successfully execute diverse projects spanning product development, employee volunteer recruitment, and comprehensive communications and reporting on partnership outcomes. Organized high-profile sustainability events, facilitated communications including speechwriting for senior leadership, and represented the company in multi-stakeholder initiatives such as WBCSD’s Action 2020 and WFP’s Project Laser Beam. Additionally, led Royal DSM’s delegation to the One Young World summit, fostering engagement with young leaders from 2011 to 2014. Also responsible for engaging global employee base and other stakeholders on the topic of Sustainability.
