The particularity here was that camera was itself in movement, complicating drastically things.- To tackle the problem, many existing methods were researched in the literature and even implemented, like sparse optical flows and dense optical flows. - To account for the performance issues and computational needs, object detection was then considered, using deep convolutional neural networks through TensorFlow Object Detection API and YoloR.- Object tracking was also researched and implemented, before a merged solution (tracking + detection) was considered.The thesis required dedication, perseverance and ressourcefullness. I came out on top with achieved aim and objectives, as well as frustration of not being able to tackle the problem all by myself. I definetely intend on using this work as a basis for future endeavors and build upon my research to dive even deeper into motion detection with a moving camera. Show less
