Returned to Beijing to coordinate the operations of hybrid (online & offline) K-12 educational products:• Products Planning: assisted the President and Principal in crafting new business proposals for hybrid education products; facilitated the communication with local governments, educational institutions and the student/parent community in order to implement the company’s one-stop solution for global education;• Standard Operations Procedures (SOP): coordinate international offices and the parent community for communication; optimized the existing procedures of online education to establish SOP for better customer services; • Global Coordination and Operations: coordinated cross-functional teams across time zones to deliver global education services; executed the training of nearly 100 teachers around the world, and managed several Learning Management Systems (LMS);• Meetings and Project Documentations: organized regular meetings, tracked meeting minutes, decisions and to-do lists; managed confidential operations handbooks and other essential business documents;• Cambridge PDQ: coordinated the company’s Cambridge Professional Development Qualification program as the Exams Officer.

In charge of the overall development and management of the innovative online education business; the new business benefited more than a thousand students and generated $4 million revenue over the first year after launch:• Strategic Planning and Market Analysis: coordinated market analysis to identify unique market demands and competitors’ weaknesses; articulated the products’ feature sets, development strategies, management structure and operations process;• Team Coordination and Products Development: managed projects’ budget, HR and timetable; coordinated education, IT and marketing teams across Canada, the U.S., the U.K. and China to design and promote 60+ online educational products;• Operations Standardization: tracked the overall operations of the products to identify operational inefficiencies, streamlined and standardized the global team’s operations by developing handbooks, checklists and other documentations; • Global Staff Training: designed the new teacher onboarding procedures and trained nearly 100 teachers;• Learning Management Systems (LMS): coordinated and supervised the IT and operations team in charge of the essential Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas, ZOOM and ClassIn;• Corporate Social Responsibilities: designed and operated a charitable program in which 50+ high school North American volunteers helped youngsters in less developed areas in China learn English and global cultures.

Reformed the scheduling and human resource allocation of the School to improve its operations efficiency by around 30%, and personally took charge in English teaching and academic counseling:• School Operations Reform: initiated several tactics such as rescheduling lesson times, organizing counselor teams and re-balancing the ratio of large-size classes to smaller classes; improved the student service capacity by around 30% while quality of service and human, capital and time investments remained the same;• Textbook Development and Teaching: designed the teaching materials for English grammar and writing courses; developed a handbook for learning GMAT sentence correction and essay writing; coached students for IELTS/TOEFL/GMAT exam preparation;• Academic Counseling: guided 40+ high school students in career planning, rebuilt several students’ confidence in themselves and the mutual trust between students and parents; led students through the undergraduate admission process, and mediated between students and parents when different opinions and conflicts arose;• School Activities: volunteered to organize the first and second “Best Business Ideas” Contests at the School to encourage students to conduct market research and write business proposals; attracted 30% of the students to attend the second contest.

Helped save one student from suicidal tendency with professional assistance from the university; responsible for assignments & tests grading and other regular academic tasks.

• Daily Economic Reports: tracked China’s economic and regulatory changes on a daily basis, and wrote economic news reports on key industries for global clients; • Annual Provincial Profiles: updated annual provincial profiles and reports with data gathered from sources such as national and provincial Bureau of Statistics; • International Communication: reported to IHS Boston Office while the immediate manager in Beijing is on a business trip and received very positive feedback from Boston on work efficiency, personal news judgment and teamwork.

Research Assistance: assisted constructive research on China’s shadow banking system, e.g. P2P loan, by gathering ongoing financial and regulatory development information, and participated in the formation of a new business proposal.

• Reported the speeches of Van Rompuy, first President of the European Council and Barroso, President of the European Commission at UIBE 2012; this report was used by Chinese leading internet media Ifeng.com;• Interviewed international VIP guests of UIBE, e.g. Professor Willem Houwink, the first economist to bring modern economics to the People’s Republic of China.
