I acquired best practices in handling Mac Genius Bar appointments and while in hardware repairs. There were monthly opportunities share these best practices with Geniuses in Training at the SF Genius Bar, this was truly an amazing experience!

As a Family Room Specialist at Apple my responsibilities stretched from handing face to face tech support for iOS devices, hardware and software, facilitating data transfers from PC to Mac and Mac to Mac, delivering One to One training sessions for Apple Software and Group workshops. I really valued my time in this role as I had lots of diversity leading to me gaining knowledge quickly in the vast fasts of Apple Retail.

I was recruited by Apple Corporate, to work at Apple Park, with Engineering Support Services for a Career Experience. During my time there my role was a Lead Tech, I was building hardware prototypes. I was asked to be a project lead, I learned about how to understand use a build matrix (BOM). I was required to collect all build materials, validate materials against the BOM. Stage the materials for building, forecast build progress and use clear communications between Hardware Engineers, Software Engineers and Electrical Engineers to troubleshoot issues during the builds. Writing documentation for outlining procedures to successfully build systems, in regards to hardware and software. Also, writing daily progress reports on running projects. I was leading multiple projects at the same time, using critical thinking. I would have to decide what projects needing attention to make our build schedule on time and troubleshoot a variety of issues from hardware to software. I learned multiple new data bases and procedures, these newly learned skills had then been taught immediately to others on my team. This was the highlight of my 11+ years working with Apple Inc.
