Director - Office Of Litigation Support Services
CurrentOversight and management of all litigation support activities. Responsibilities include oversight and direction of $17.3 million litigation support budget and providing monthly, quarterly and yearly budget forecasts. Works closely with fiscal unit and senior management to ensure adequate and proper funding is in place to continue daily operations. Management of five direct reports plus contract management and IT staff as well as oversight of approximately 120 onsite contractor staff located in various sections of the Civil Rights Division. Acts as Division contact to JMD, Office of the Associate Attorney General, and other DOJ Divisions on matters related to litigation support and ediscovery. Participates on the Division’s Electronic Discovery Work Group (EDWG) to develop ediscovery and litigation support policy, works with Department counterparts to compare and resolve common litigation support issues related to data processing, ediscovery and new product implementation. Acts as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) overseeing all MEGA 4 contract activities. Works closely with Division’s Special Counsel for Ediscovery to enhance litigation support training, strategies, electronic stipulations and rule 26(f) support as well as litigation hold policies. Provides guidance on litigation support issues to new attorneys during quarterly training sessions and provides oversight and direction on new product/tool implementations. Oversees the development of internal applications and documentation to support litigation support efforts, confers with outside experts and industry professionals in regard to new litigation support developments, methods, training and applications to assess potential use by Division attorneys and support staff.
