CATIA V5 Designer:Provide effective design, assembly and manufacturing of industrial motors. Extensive use of MD1, MD2 and XM2 platforms. (3D part design & assembly, some sheet metal design & some surface design)Work in close association with motor engineering team to design custom induction motors for pulp and paper, electric utility, marine, water and waste water treatment, chemical and petrochemical, steel, mining, air conditioning and air separation applications.Supports the Sales team to provide negotiations for replacement competitor motors.Produce 3D and 2D detail and assembly drawings, drawing revisions, and other documentation from existing standards, sketches, computer data, and layouts conforming to ASME standards. Excellent knowledge of Bill of Materials, Revision Notices, Design Changes.Provide assistance to customer services and sales groups, as well as outside vendors who provide our fabricated and machining of motors and parts.3D model entire assemblies containing Air Cabinets, Motor Bearings, Aux Boxes, Shafts, Rotors, Electrical Coils and Stators, Conduit and Pipe fittings, explosion-proof pipe fittings.

Using Autocad, designed epoxy resin countertops for hospitals and schools. Each countertop piece consisted of specific type edges to keep chemicals from spilling over. Designed complete layouts for research labs which included fume hood vents and chemical wash stations. Each piece of top was inputted into a system that barcoded the piece, and was then sent to the resin shop for completion.
