Analysis and characterization of a human tissue type plasminogen activator's (tPA) mutant that seems to be involved in specific pathologic processes in Alzheimer's Disease.The activities were focused in the creation of a mutant human tPA starting from the wild type htPA genetic sequence and primers carrying the right sequence mutation. The next steps were the amplification and over-expression of the mutant within an ad-hoc cell line. The final part of the internship was about the FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) purification of the mutant and the analysis of its possible implication in the Alzheimer's pathogenesys.
