My role is to help our clients (FMCG/Pharma companies) take the best data driven decisions: > Get the best insights and connect the dots from large amount of data (consumers’ data, market sales, media data). > Provide forecasting and consulting expertise on new product launches in Europe/Middle East. > Manage client relationship from project commissioning to report delivery. Ensure accurate and on time deliveries. > Coaching young resources (story-telling, data analysis). > Nielsen Italy champion for the Neuroscience technologies. Consultancy/technical leadership to prepare proof of concepts of innovative remote sensing services (aerospace/oil&gas clients: European Space Agency, Argentinean Space Agency, ENI). Main responsibilities:> Data pre-processing and analysis to extract meaningful information from remote sensing data (feature extraction, machine learning/classification, calibration, genetic algorithms). Development and testing of the software.> End-to-end involvement from customer needs collection to final reports and project support. Market analysis to define availability of services and possible innovation provided; liaising with IT team for prototype industrialization.> Project planning, tracking and reporting (ISO-9001 compliant). Step-by-step progress reporting of the project, with documents and presentations.> Risk management: identification of project critical points and planning of countermeasures to avoid situation/minimize risk.> In the biggest projects, leading small teams (1-2 persons) with constant progress verification and requirement needs satisfaction.

Machine learning techniques for the classification of remote sensing imagesDeveloping supervised/unsupervised techniques for the classification and unmixing of hyperspectral data cubes (SVM, Bayesian classifiers, Independent Component Analysis) and integration of different data sources (spatial / spectral). I got acquainted working as a self-starter and to an international environment (lived two years in Grenoble, France, one year in Reykjavik, Iceland and five months in Caceres, Spain).I have published 8 papers in international scientific journals and 20+ international conferences contributions. Supervised a student during his master thesis.Supervisors: Christian Jutten, and Jocelyn Chanussot, IEEE fellows.
