About Albert Sands (Capm)

I'm a second-generation Guyanese immigrant born in Brooklyn, New York. Being an army brat and later on myself joining the military, I have traveled to many countries outside of the United States as well as many states within North America. Due to my numerous exposures to different cultures and environments, I became fascinated with social dynamics and how people interact with each other as well as the outcome of macro and micro-interactions and what influences them. This is done me well over my career as it has become a basis of how I have become a successful manager and leader. My background and passions have also lent themselves to having a very analytical mind where decisions are data-driven, but people are the cornerstone of any successful execution.Over my career, I have learned that I also have a passion for project management because I love to see a project from start to finish. May it be from a Hands-On approach where I'm creating something or managing a project or teams to meet an overall end goal. Additionally, I love instructing and teaching. It gives me great satisfaction when I can influence others based not only on my actions but also by providing guidance that may help them to progress in their own lives. Two statements that I use to guide my life and values are "do what you say and say what you mean," Success stems from a system of "Planning, Preparing, Executing, Assessing, Adjusting, and Repeating when the situation arises again."
