January 2024 still finds me in Islington, London N1 with my 3rd wife / partner Judith Hughes. My role is house husband, blogger, researcher, reader while my wife continues to work part time as a judge for another year. I am interested in politics, government, business, law, economics, productivity and Higher Education and from time to time, comment on social media, mainly twitter and LinkedIn.In August 2021 I stopped paid work and investing in new companies and projects. My last investments were in 2020 for JobLab, renamed Stride, a graduate recruitment business and in December 2020, for Simyra Ltd, trading as Debtech. This is an AI service innovator in the legal sector. Sadly, Stride has ceased to trade but Aidan Cramer remains an active entrepreneur. I remain an investor in Hot Squash, the online clothing retailer. HS provides online ladies clothing made from special materials to keep you warm in winter and cooler in summer. I still follow a very bright young man, Charles Taylor at Thrivetech, who founded Debut, a Graduate Recruitment specialist but ceased trading in 2021. University Compare continues to help bring together prospective undergraduates and Universities with spare capacity. It has become a specialist during the annual Clearing Period to quickly match students with appropriate courses and institutions.Pivigo provides specialist AI and Data Mining training and consultancy to re-skill Scientists to become Data Scientists.In 2021, I stopped being an active volunteer with both fsb (Federation of Small Businesses) campaigning for a better deal from Government for small businesses and LAAN (London Apprentice Ambassadors Network) promoting the benefits of Apprenticeships to employers and students and volunteering as a lay magistrate/JP. My time as a Coach/ Profit Improver, is also now over.
