Promoted to Account Manager after the children’s division and its employees were acquired by a new owner. Successfully negotiated several new brand licensing agreements. Continued role as Photo Studio Manager. Responsible for day-to-day branded and non-licensed project management, royalty forecast reporting, all project budget development and reporting, and product sales into select retailers.

Promoted to manage all international co-editions through multiple stages with freelance vendors,including translation, foreign language narration, typesetting and design work, and licensor approval. Created and maintained meticulous budget records for more than 200 titles per year. Retained the Disney Publishing account, during which time PIL earned the title of Disney Publishing Worldwide’s “Licensee of the Year.” Expanded responsibilities with additional departments, assuming role of Photo Studio Manager for all in-house photo shoots for cookbook and general interest titles. Retained all previous responsibilities.

Promoted to manage PIL’s largest account, Disney Publishing Worldwide. Managed over 80 interactive children’s titles per year during this time, while also working directly with multiple other licenses, including Rudolph, Child Matters, Super Why, and Olivia. Developed and maintained strong relationships with licensor contacts and freelance contributors. Responsible for training and mentoring new employees.

Managed acquisition of digital and print-based assets for children’s books, working closely withfreelance artists and writers. Created and managed project budgets and schedules. Within firstsix months at PIL, was asked to manage the company’s second largest account (Sesame Workshop),including all licensed art acquisition and negotiation of licensed music contracts, in addition to acting as the licensing partner’s first point of contact for the company. Responsible for procuring licensor approval for all stages of the publishing process. Participated in recording sessions for book narration as the brand ambassador. Also responsible for the HIT Entertainment (Thomas and Friends; Bob the Builder) and DC Comics licenses during this time.
