I am an Engineering leader who likes to utilize Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) to simulate the physics, reduce prototype testing and reduce the overall Time To Market (TTM) by using my various years of experience in Product Development, Project Management and Computer Aided Engineering (CAE). I have particular Technical Expertise in automotive and industrial products using commercial codes concentrated in the areas of fluid flow, heat transfer and combustion. The Technical expertise includes developing models in 1-D and 3-D CFD, engine performance (GT-Power – over 50 different engines), valve-train performance and cam Design (Cam-Pack, GT-Suite), in-cylinder cfd analysis (Converge - PFI, GDI, Charging, Normally Aspirated, RANS, LES, Reaction Mechanisms, CHT, etc.), General CFD Analysis (Star-CCM+ - steady state port development, oil slosh, gear slosh, aerodynamics, conjugate heat transfer, etc.), vehicle performance (AVL Cruise) and Optimization for 1-D and 3-D (Sculptor, iSight, modeFrontier). My most recent technical expertise is in gas flow path development for Internal Combustion Engines (ICE). This includes product development through 1-D (GT-Power) and 3-D CFD (Star-CCM+ and Converge) practices of air boxes, throttle bodies, ports, combustion chambers, exhaust ports, headers and mufflers. These component were then verfired through flow bench and dyno testing. This expertise also included developing new methodology for automating and optimizing the gas flow process for developing the best system for performance and emissions (flow and tumble). I have a proven track record of holistic business design (in virtual CAE), strategic planning and design, building and leading high performance teams, and the development of a world class engineering analysis group. I am very effective in a fast paced, always changing, execution-oriented environment.

Temperature results yielded minimal error and were used for cooling jacket design (Glycol and Oil) and durability predictions for the cylinder head and bolted joint system. These methodologies lead to an All-American award from H-D leadership.- Technical lead in developing new methodologies in the areas of Thermodynamics, Optimization, CFD and combustion analysis. Areas of new methodologies include better prediction of engine performance using 1-D thermodynamics tools, in-cylinder cfd analysis including combustion (chemical fuel mechanisms, misfire, lean dilution tolerance), heat release correlation, fuel injector spray correlation, general cfd applications (steady state port development and optimization, oil piston jet cooling, engine breather metrics, oil pan slosh, gear box slosh, engine and vehicle aerodynamics, radiator heat rejection and heat mitigation). - Key lead or team member involved in advanced technologies shelf products (vehicle and power train) – GDI, Combustion improvements, Engine downsizing, Supercharging, valve actuation, CO2 improvement strategies, electric, and hybrid vehicles through the use of CAE tools (CFD, 1-D).
