Service Manager – Acute Care Therapies Apr 20 – Mar 23In April 2020 I was successful in applying for the role of ACT Service Manager. The role included managing 13 engineers covering three modalities across the UK:• Critical Care - ITU ventilation and Theatre Anaesthetics• Cardiac Assist – Inter Aortic Balloon Pumps• Cardio Pulmonary – Heart Bypass Machines and the supporting medical devices. I started by restructuring the team in a hybrid formation with a Service Team Manager (STM) and 4 technical specialists who would be responsible for field action deployment and supporting the engineers product development. In 2020 our team was responsible for assembling and commissioning 1088 ventilators, over 7 times the yearly average, all during lockdown. I have also lead the development of new service contracts based on the customer needs. I have worked extensively with Excel to automate several manual processes. I developed and implemented a new bonus structure that was flexible enough to adapt to varying responsibilities and opportunities of each of the 100+ Getinge engineers. To work closely with the sales managers for each product to ensure a smooth customer experience. • Support and develop field service engineers• Responsible for achieving revenue targets and gross profit margins• Responsible for achieving KPIs on service delivery• Assist contracts team with service contract renewals, retention and growth• Organise and chair service meetings• Resolving escalated customer issues• Support Sales department with key account management
