After college, Alec was surprised to find himself living in the metropolis of Hard Hittin’ New Britain, CT, where he worked for a Minor League Baseball team. When it rained, he was considered one of the finest tarp pullers New Britain Stadium has ever seen. Eventually, he made his way back to New York, where he earned an MBA at Fordham University for no good reason at all, then discovered that writing was much more fun than being a business person. He finally relocated to LA, where he graduated from UCLA’s MFA in Screenwriting program in 2014. He has written for “Funny You Should Ask”, produced by Byron Allen and coming to the air in fall of 2016. He has developed pilots with numerous production companies, including Intuition, Shaftesbury, The Fun Group and Monami. Alec was a Scriptapalooza finalist with his 30 Rock spec script, “Health Scare Plan,” and a 2015 semi-finalist for Universal’s Emerging Writers Fellowship with his feature script “The Ninth Life of Cat-Man.” His short story "Optimistic Tom" was a selection of The New Short Fiction Series as part of its annual Emerging Voices Group Show in 2015. His web series “The Public Offender” would be very critically acclaimed if critics were aware of it. His mother will also be happy to tell you additional nice things about him.
