- Develop and manage day to day financial budgets and plan for yearly fiscal goals and expectations for the division through detailed spreadsheets and the daily management of transactions, reporting, and accounting- Manage the professionalism of clinicians and staff through the consistent assessment of patient interactions, as wells as interactions occurring intra-departmentally, utilizing human resources protocols and documentation. This has directly impacted the division, as changes were made to the staff which immediately improved morale and reduced patient complaints - Oversee and manage the research team and all clinical trials for which any Division of Transplantation and Advanced Hepatobiliary surgeons are Principal Investigator. These clinical trials are handled directly from inception all the way through to completion of the studies, and must be consistently looked after- Coordinate and manage all media and public relations activity within the division. This is particularly impactful on the division’s ability to reach out to patients and potential donors through various channels and as a result, effectively grow the division and hopefully save more lives. Each media release and public relations event are treated as projects that are crucial the success of the division and must be handled appropriately- Complete and submit IRB applications, grant proposals, collaboration agreements, and various other research components to support the surgeons in their participation in clinical trials and other academic health sciences research
