Alec leads Stages Consultants' theatre planning practice. Current projects in design include the Creative and Fine Arts Building at the University of Central Florida; the new Weehawken Performing Arts Center in Weehawken, NJ; the new PNE Amphitheatre in Vancouver, BC; and the new Music Center for the Sarasota Orchestra. He is consulting on historic renovations to the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford, MA; the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, TN; The Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN, and the Canton Palace Theatre in Canton, OH; among others. Stages is working around the world including across Canada, in Brazil, and in Indonesia. Recently completed projects include the Knight Recital Hall at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL; the Fred Stone Theatre at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL; and the Roger Glass Center for the Arts at the University of Dayton.Alec has presented at several American theatre conferences and lectured at Universities and Schools of Architecture on Theatre Design, most recently at Parsons School of Design in New York City and at the League of Historic American Theatres annual conference where he served for six years on their board of directors.
