- Elaborating budget of international freight costs using the seasonal purchase plan and the annual rates negotiated with Freight Forwarders.- Analyzing import costs per season, suggesting, and implementing improvements.- Managing the import operation with Customs Agents, Freight Forwarders, and UVA on daily basis to meet the committed lead-times with the business.Achievements- Improved import lead-times by 40%, reducing the product delivery cycle to final customers.

- Monitoring the compliance of production process of garments, shoes and jewelry until these were exported from manufacturers in LATAM to Wal Mart and SAM's Club in the United States and Canada.- Approving the raw materials used in the production of garments and monitoring quality testing of these products with the testing laboratories located in the United States.- Evaluating potential manufacturers in LATAM that meet the requirements established by Wal Mart to produce garments and following exports up of these products to the United States and Canada.Achievements- Reduced late shipments 30%, achieving a customized follow up of the different purchase orders and shipping according to established KPI’s.

- Coordinating shipments from the United States, Asia and other countries into Mexico, customs clearance of them and the operational flow of these imports through tracking of PO’s and shipment reports on Intelisis system.- Managing import permits required from government offices such SEMARNAT and COFEPRIS to achieve the correct importation of goods into Mexico.- Closing of import files from the execution of shipments, generation of reports in the system and until full integration of the import file (record keeping).Achievements- Reduced 2% of local freight cost, obtaining an improvement in the total import cost.- Reduced 20% the total import lead-time for Krispy Kreme purchase orders and 10% for Coach.
