Greetings!My name is Alejandro Chacon (he/him/el) and my greatest passion in life is advocating for first generation, Mexican-American, and other POC communities. Since I was a boy, my comprehension of technology has been an important aspect in supporting my community. When my elders would seek advice, I was happy to patiently guide them to the technological solutions which they sought. In the past I have aided my community through work with public school districts, community-based non-profit organizations, and I currently work for the University of Oklahoma’s Diversity Enrichment Programs department as an Admissions Counselor. My expertise in community engagement, fluency in Spanish, and my attention to technology guidance make me an ideal candidate for customer success positions. It is my goal to help introduce and familiarize a diversity of stakeholders with useful technology solutions and support. I seek to serve as a bridge between growing customer-based technology services and underrepresented consumers that feel left out. I have 5+ years of experience using CRM software’s such as Technolutions Slate, IvyQuantum, Infinite Campus, and Ellucian. My deep connections to the communities I work in aids me in planning personalized curriculum and managing caseloads. I have immense experience in management, mentoring, and professional skill development. In addition to my fluency in both Spanish and English, my understanding of cultural biases has been essential in reaching larger community audiences.
