During a 10-week project at Grainger, I improved the company's procedures for new carrier vetting. This involved collaborating with stakeholders from 6 different teams to identify key considerations for new carriers, which were then integrated into a formal vetting framework. Using Power Query and R, I extracted and cleaned batches of over 1000 emails, preparing them for use in a dynamic PowerBI dashboard. This dashboard, which I designed, automatically refreshes to consolidate submissions from an online form. Moreover, I implemented a carrier scoring system that significantly optimized our analysis efforts by reducing the number of carriers reviewed by 60%.To conclude the project, I presented my findings to stakeholders and successfully transitioned the project to the Transportation Reporting & Analytics team.

At this 12 week internship, I used SQL to query data from our databases and compile it into reports which were sent out to others in the company to make better data-driven business decisions. Our team would also handle ad-hoc requests for data, which would involve writing custom SQL queries and sending the results out to people. I was personally responsible for 9 reports a week, and would pitch in when we did ad-hoc requests. I also fixed a couple of reports that were broken.
