My name is Alejandro Rosas. I have been a Graphic Designer for the last twenty years. Eight of those years was spent at a local design studio where I achieved the role as an Art Director. The other twelve I served as a high school Math and Art teacher. I have a passion for art as a whole, teaching to help others grow, but most of all expressing creativity.

I was responsible for planning, designing, and executing notes, practice, and assessments for Algebra 1, Geometry, Art-1, and Drawing 2-4 for over 170 students annually. Responsibilities included classroom management, discipline, emotional counseling, area security, state exam proctoring, and mentorship for students ranging from 9th to 12th grade. Having a steady reputation of dependability throughout my teaching career was a priority along with pushing students along to some form of higher learning. I received many accolades from students throughout the years as well as several nominations from my peers for "Teacher of the Year."

My position evolved from a floor designer creating 12 ads a day to the Art Director in charge of the company's largest account consisting of 25+ separate phone books cover to cover in the Illinois/Kentucky areas. Several designers worked under me creating ads for each phone book. I created the covers, community & specialty sections, and critiqued/corrected every ad appearing in each book. Ads needed to be critiqued, proofread, and insured that images utilized were not already being used in each book. This client also implemented a weekly magazine complete with ads and editorial layouts. I also created logos, web icons, and direct-mail campaigns for several clients working with the company.

I was one of 3 designers chosen from the Senior class of 2004 to be an in-house designer for The Art Institute of Houston. My duties included requests from all departments within the school to design a variety of graphic design projects to be displayed all around campus.

While attending Texas A&M, I worked in university's Long-Term Loan Department providing customer service for students and parents throughout the fiscal school year.
