Conducting policy analysis and gender analysis for the purpose of the Horizon 2020 project “Upcycling of PE and PET wastes to generate biodegradable bioplastics for food and drink packaging (upPE-T)” (https://uppet.eu/). The focus is on the analysis of the policy framework for the recycling of post-consumer food and beverage plastic packaging waste at the EU level, as well as for selected countries, and the provision of recommendations to improve current policies. Also, the research encompasses the identification of gender-related aspects and distributional effects of these policies. A total of 6 reports would be delivered.

• Assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on local government finances in Serbia. The task encompassed collection and analysis of municipal finance data and other relevant data for the selected municipality, identification of possible channels of the COVID-19 related impact on the stream of revenues and on spending, conducting scenario analysis, providing recommendations, and communication with senior WB experts and with the selected municipality.• Research support in the preparation of the background document on the financing of local development in the Republic of Serbia. The activities included preparation of the overview of relevant legislation, description of procedures related to the budget planning and execution, infrastructure investments, and strategic planning at the local level, obtaining and analyzing required data, providing estimates and methodological explanations.

• Providing support to researchers from North Macedonian Parliamentary Budget Office (trainings, peer-reviewing, designing methodology for analyses)• Lecturer at the online orientation seminar for new MPs in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and preparation of related briefings (about the budget system in Serbia, and the draft budget bill)

Worked on the establishment of the Parliamentary Budget Office, which was a joint project of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.Activities included:• Setting up of the Parliamentary Budget Office (defining and establishing the scope of work, work procedures, methodological guidelines, templates, work plans, etc.). • Research support to MPs and parliamentary committees, by providing briefing material in anticipation of parliamentary business in public finance and economics subject areas, and also answering individual enquiries. Work involved building and maintaining databases, undertaking budget analysis, economic analysis, summaries on economic tendencies. The accomplishment the PBO team is particularly proud of was to come up with new and innovative ways to translate dull economic data into easy-to-comprehend visualizations.

Engaged in scientific projects financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia (key areas external trade and sustainable development). Also, participating in commercial research projects (e.g. assessing the effects of the engagement of Roma health mediators).

Engaged in a number of research projects for state bodies, as well as international organizations, NGOs and private companies. Key areas encompassed external trade, assessment of the investment and business environment, and various sectoral analysis (e.g. agriculture and agribusiness and textile industry).
