This is one of the largest Russian OTAs. While working there, I gained much experience in the travel segment and learned about the specifics of selling air tickets.I took part in developing the main backend application, which provided the ticket purchase flow to the user. The backend was implemented in Ruby on Rails and stored data in MongoDB. In development, we actively applied dry-rb approaches.During my work, I launched several small projects:- Auxiliary services written in Elixir for marketing mailings;- Internal tools in Crystal for working with infrastructure and duty processes;- Services written in Ruby for collecting statistics and preparing reports;- Well, in my opinion, the most interesting project is the “Geo-location hints” service, which is the entry point into the flow of buying air tickets. It is also written in Elixir.

In a small development team, I worked on applications in the Elixir language for processing advertising traffic and collecting statistics. This is where I first met Elixir and ClickhouseDB.During the work, I worked out interesting tasks for processing a decent amount of traffic with the requirement for a fast response time. I learned to work with KV stores like (D)ETS/RocksDB and the RabbitMQ message broker.I also implemented a convenient interface for displaying statistics stored in ClickhouseDB. To do this, I developed admin panels using Phoenix + Bootstrap.One of the interesting projects involved sending regular push notifications to many devices. The application was also implemented in Elixir and used Firebase.

I worked in a small cross-functional team as a full-stack developer. Initially, we outsourced web applications using WordPress (PHP) and JavaScript/jQuery. MySQL has always been chosen as the storage.Then we smoothly moved on to the implementation of our game ideas. We experimented with different tools and platforms. We implemented the first game for Android on Apache Cordova + PhaserIO as a framework. Subsequent games were developed on the Unity game engine using C#.As part of the work on projects, I did not deal with the visual component, but I was responsible for the development of game logic algorithms and backend infrastructure. For the backend part, I used Ruby and PostgreSQL as storage.
