I examined the data and the system of the first hydrogen refueling station worldwide producing hydrogen on-site via solid-oxide electrolysis. The plant is a research project in collaboration with Total and Sunfire and began operations in December 2017.Personally, I:• collected and analyzed the data coming from the electrolyzer and the auxiliary devices over 30 months• studied the trends and the influence of the various parameters, particularly the voltage, current intensity, and temperature of the stacks over 6000 hours• investigated modes of operation of the electrolyzer• inspected 62 fault events and their correlation with the stack parameters• showed the causes of errors and potential solutions• suggested an advancement in the gas analysis process that would increase the instrumentation resolution by 1700%• helped to find the source of the main issue• visited the facility to assess the real status of the plant.The results of the work are described in the following scientific article: doi:10.1016/j.jpowsour.2021.230346

Energy analysis of Palazzo Marina, a historical building located in Rome and headquarters of the Marina Militare (Italian Navy). The six-story structure extends for 31,000 square meters and houses some 750 offices and rooms.My team and I:• carried out on-site surveys for a detailed representation of both the electrical and thermal systems• assessed the daily, monthly and yearly consumption of electricity and heat• evaluated the potential improvements to reduce consumption and produce energy locally.The project was developed as part of the course in Energy Management. The work of my team was graded with 29 out of 30 points.
