My responsibilities in the Emergency Room include managing patient charts via EMR software for physicians and other providers in real-time, writing exams and histories for patients, managing provider work flow, and improving patient flow through the ER.

The Hanna Lab specializes in functional and sensory recovery after spinal cord injuries (SCIs). Specifically, the lab uses peripheral nerve grafts and therapeutic protein delivery to promote axonal growth and regeneration following injury to a spinal cord. My responsibilities included sectioning and staining, perfusions, cell cultures, data analysis, immunohistochemistry, BBB functional analysis, taking care of the rats post-op, and performing various surgeries (primarily BDA injections and preparing a sciatic nerve for Wallerian degeneration to be used as donor nerve).
