As a Clinical Operations Specialist with Railcare Health, I am responsible for planning free health screening events in Chapel Hill and rural areas of North Carolina, as well as educational events in and around Chapel Hill to help correct misinformation that is commonly believed by the public. As a clinical operations specialist, I have made contact with several partners that have been willing to donate personnel, healthcare supplies, and space in order for Railcare to conduct healthcare events. As a clinical operations specialist, I am also responsible for the formation and operation of the UNC-Chapel Hill chapter of Railcare Health, which operates as a student organization on campus in order to help educate students about healthcare topics and provide general health screenings for those in the community. While at Railcare, I completed my Medical Assistant training in order to assist primary care providers with seeing and treating patients.

As a research assistant in Dr. Pfennig's lab, I have performed dissections of tadpoles and toads, extracted DNA samples from biological tissue cultures, measured the relative frequencies of DNA molecules in samples using a spectrophotometer, performed PCR using a thermocycler, used Gel Electrophoresis techniques in order to visualize differences in DNA, applied this knowledge to draw conclusions about trends in data, cleaned chaotic lab spaces, disposed of biological specimens that were improperly stored, ensured the proper storage of biological specimen, organized thousands of toad specimen, labeled hundreds of toad specimen according to museum standards, maintained and organized data relating to these toad specimen, learned proper handling techniques for experiments involving toads, and more.

As an administrative assistant at BeAM I am responsible for creating and publishing student staff schedules in 10+ areas in more than 3 on-campus locations, entering timecard information for BeAM's 50+ student staff members, processing shift swaps, managing the BeAM email inboxes, maintaining a multitude of excel spreadsheets, publishing patron training events and equipment availabilities through CoWorks, organizing and scheduling new staff training and tours, and generally ensuring the smooth functioning of BeAM operations.

As an intern in Dr. Zamboni’s lab, I processed incoming clinic chemotherapy samples, created graphs to document trends in data, operated a crucible, correctly used a pipette and multi pipette, learned safe handling techniques for hazardous chemicals, helped calibrate lab equipment, and processed incoming patient data.

As a waiter at Breakaway, I took orders, served food, seated customers, bussed tables, took phone calls, and made coffee drinks. I was responsible for making sure the customers were happy.

At the Restore, I established a new organization system for sorting and displaying electronics, processed and tested donated electronics, priced working items, and cleaned the backroom area that held all donated items.
