Responsible for Web Development, Infrastructure team, store support and quality testing teams. Managing ERP application development path and Multichannel systems across business ensuring projects defined and planned to achieve strategic goals, both nationally and internationally with P&L and FA responsibility. Projects including planning and assistance with SAP integration to existing systems and communication of business challenges to key stakeholders, change management, relocation of ERP & Web site between Data Centres, strategic planning for international infrastructure to allow business growth.

IT and Operations Director - Responsible for all IT implementation across the business, including central communication systems, (Exchange, Blackberry, VOIP Comms), through to Finance, document management and EPOS systems within the shops, (Micros). Operations within the business included structure of the operations team and regular KPI meetings looking at sales targets, promotions, sales opportunities and any business development ideas. Business sold by HG Capital in July 2011 to private investors, left with own equity stake sold.

At The Perfume Shop, (TPS), I was responsible for everything with a plug on it, and ensuring anything that produced data was up and running at all times. Initially this included the Profit Software from Torex retail, ERP, (merchandising and financial software), along with the EPOS till systems. As the business grew I was responsible for a large number of strategic changes to major systems, enabling the business to grow, including Merchandising (Island Pacific / AS400), Warehouse Management, Financial and Planning, along with the adoption of Multi Currency with the business expanding into the Euro zone. I was also responsible for ensuring the business backbone was secure, reliable and up to date. I worked closely with data communications teams to ensure out credit card processing speeds were as fast as possible to minimise pinch points in the shops whilst meeting PCI requirements. I gained the skills needed to manage dynamic teams, and manage successful business critical projects, whilst maintaining a calm head. I worked with most Microsoft software along with IBM RS500, AS400 and bespoke interface software. Hardware included servers, switches, routers, Hand Held terminals, EPOS and users computers. I also had the opportunity to travel to Australia and source EPOS for TPS Australia, (new business), and set up the office and interface back to the UK, an exciting challenge in a new market for me.
