About Alex B.

Having joined easyJet in February 2024, with previous experience in the aviation industry (working at Brize Norton) I bring some new ideas to the EFB team. My primary role is to lead on audits, managing logistics with key stakeholders across our 30 bases, and completing base visits. This is all to ensure that all regulations across our three airlines (Swiss, UK and EU) are upheld. This involves time management, ownership and project management. These skills were gained through previous experience, and will be honed at easyJet where I hope to embark on a journey with the Orange Team. Ijoined AirTanker in July 2023 working with the Line Maintenance planning team, working alongside Schedulers, and also other regulatory areas of the business, such as Part CAMO and Logistical operations. I work alongside RAF Personnel, and Sponsored Reservists. I am thoroughly enjoying this role in the aviation industry. My previous job was working as an Operational Meteorological Technician at the Met Office at RAF Brize Norton. I worked with RAF personnel and pilots to produce forecasts for sorties, take half-hourly observations, and work with other Operational Meteorologists to improve forecasting and meteorological knowledge. The opportunity to work at AirTanker even closer to aircraft, was something I couldn't turn down.Other experience I have includes a Masters Degree in Applied Meteorology and Climatology at the University of Birmingham, an Undergraduate Degree in Geography at the University of Lincoln, customer service as an assistant manager at High Tor Hotel and broadcast skills having worked at multiple radio stations, producing, presenting and most recently working as volunteer head meteorologist producing forecasts for clients and listeners.
