I have been trusted by some of the UK’s best-known organisations to deliver transformational change. A proven leader, I have demonstrated high levels of integrity in pressurised environments time and again. Having founded an automation services business in 2016, I successfully exited in mid-2024.I led transformative technology and operational change in telecoms and banking businesses before discovering process automation. I realised the sheer power of automation and the impact my projects were having on operations and balance sheets. This inspired me to found a specialised automation solutions and services provider in 2016 - VKY. Having initially bootstrapped the business, the Covid pandemic put severe pressure on the business and me as its founder. I led the organisation through the crisis, not taking a salary for six months, not furloughing anyone, and finishing the year with the same number of staff as the start of the year. However, it highlighted the need for change and I secured significant investment and financial security through a merger with a mid-tier contact centre outsourcer/BPO in late 2020. This enabled me and an enlarged team to grow the business with me spearheading the company’s delivery from presales to production. Customers include some of the UK’s best known organisations and I regularly write articles, speak at large events, and deliver guest lectures to University students. I have been a board advisor Scotland’s Data Cluster, ScotlandIS Data and I am growing my portfolio of SMEs to whom I provide advice.I am a Prince 2 certified delivery leader with experience of multiple methodologies including Prince 2, Waterfall and Agile. I have delivered significant and award winning technology, business and cultural changes in both projects and operational environments. I have strong experience in delivering large and critical international projects and programmes. I have a proven track record of both in house change delivery and professional services/consultancy delivery. I have specific industry experience in Outsourced Contact Centres, Banking, Financial Services, Telecoms, Media, Retail and Hospitality.I am a passionate fundraiser and have raised in excess of £90,000 over a number of years for children's charities with Radio Forth's Cash For Kids being the main beneficiary.
