At CA Models I currently work as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer / 3D Print Technician. Materials I run are - HPC (High Performance Composite), Bluestone, Xtreme White, Accura 25, Xtreme Grey, Somos Next and Clear-Vue. DLP (Digital Light Processing) I am also trained in using our latest two machines, Figure 4 Modular Units running materials such as - Pro-Black 10, Flex-20, Rubber 65A shore and High-Temp Amber. Additionally I have knowledge using FDM (Fused Deposition Modelling) machines such asStratasys Fortus 900, with basic knowledge using Insight software, as well as some experienceoperating an SLM (Selective Laser Melting) machines. Running Aluminium, Titanium and Stainless Steel,though my experience is mainly on the maintenance of the machines and finishing of parts. I also have extensive knowledge and experience using various AM / CAD software that I utilise ona daily basis, these include – Fusion 360, Materialise Magics, Insight (FDM), Grab-Cad,Google Sketchup, Blender, Sprint, 3D Manage and Lightyear. Additionally I have also trained in usingtraditional graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design. Recently I have started Reverse Engineering, recreating and producing parts for clients using thelatest software package Geomagic Design X with the aid of a Hexagon Romer Arm.As well as the CAD work and machine set-up / maintenance, I am experienced in a morehands-on role when it comes to achieving great quality parts.
