I represented the UK on the IMF's 24-member Executive Board, which takes care of the daily business of the IMF. The Board discusses everything from the IMF staff's annual health checks of member countries' economies to economic policy issues relevant to the global economy.

I led the Embassy's economic team which worked on both analysis of US economic and financial issues and engaging with the US policy community to represent UK interests in US economic and financial and policy issues and to learn from best practice in public policy.

I led the team that, working with HMRC, prepared the package of tax policy measures for the annual Budget presented by the Chancellor of the Exchequer and worked thoughtout the year on tax policy development and analysis.
