Hi, my name is Alex Gilbert and I'm a senior at Auburn University. As my journey in college is nearing its end I can't help but feel a surge of excitement and anticipation for what lies ahead. With my knowledge of finance that I am cultivating at Auburn I believe it will help propel me toward my dreams of making a meaningful impact in the world. With each passing semester, my knowledge has deepened, and my skills have sharpened, thanks to rigorous coursework and hands-on experiences. I also possess a natural ability for strategic thinking and problem solving, traits that I have honed over my time in college. While my education is in finance with a specific interest in investing and financial planning, I'm driven by a deeper purpose - a desire to help individuals and organizations reach their full potential, and to help make this world a better place. With a relentless drive toward excellence, a blue collar mentality, and a commitment to make a positive impact, I am ready to seize every opportunity that presents itself.Experience Highlights: In September of 2020 I decided to get a part time delivery job with Grubhub to make some money on the side, but I ended up taking much more than money from my experience as a driver. This job taught me many valuable lessons including time management and customer relations. While working this job I executed the delivery of goods to customers in a timely manner to maximize customer satisfaction, communicated between businesses and customers to make sure the correct order was obtained and delivered to the right place as fast as possible, and operated multiple jobs at once in order to minimize delivery time.During the fall of 2022 I started a full time job at J manifold Construction as a general laborer. This job taught me many things including the value of a dollar, teamwork, and communication. While working this job I collaborated with over 10 people in the building of 5+ residential houses to ensure our clients got the home of their dreams, procured materials and equipment necessary to fulfill daily tasks and goals, and utilized teamwork to analyze and solve time sensitive problems on the job site.
