Since receiving my new role we as a company have moved from completing the operation in a manual way into being an operation ran through automation. With this change we moved from using the system JDA to WAMAS, it’s been great to get to know the features of the new system and have the chance to learn how it can be best utilised. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning the new processes that automation has to offer and being able to pass all I learn down to my team. Since been here I have managed colleagues from all corners of the globe and have really enjoyed working with all the different nationalities and dealing with the obstacles that can also bring. I believe I have gotten to know everyone across all the shifts I cover from all departments knowing every colleague's name and employee number. Since been a team manager I have been assigned to chair various different types of meetings, these range from investigations, disciplinary’s and suspension meetings, all of which I have always put one hundred percent effort into. I have been given many different opportunities since working for Boohoo, these include been involved in finance meetings with the senior leadership team to gauge a better understanding of the business from a financial point of view and been given the opportunity to undertake courses. In November 2023, I received my Level 2 in the Principles of Fire Safety and also in February 2024 my Level 2 in First Aid for Mental Health. I am proud to have this as I like to listen to people’s problems and offer support wherever I can. As well as courses I have put myself forward to be a company representative, I am a representative for health and safety, and a forum rep, responsible for speaking to colleagues all throughout the business and bringing the points and concerns to the meeting and to the general manager of site.
