Global Business Services - Industrial Intern

12 month internship at IBM Melbourne, titled as a Business Operations Professional.This role involved me directly supporting the industrial sector partners who negotiate and help manage clients and relevant solutions. These solutions include a mixture of cloud services, automation, server and software management, and general business services, generally with mining companies.As part of this internship I was exposed to many facets of IBM and was involved with many different clients and initiatives. Namely resource management, solution delivery/management, presenting to clients, design thinking workshops, sales and education content creation, automation training, contracting, negotiating, internal quality / process review and data management. As an example I worked with international teams across IBM over a few weeks to pull together a 60 slide initial proposal to a global petroleum supplier, which in the end we won.Whilst in the role I am taking full advantage of IBM's vast number of training courses in order to fill any gaps in my knowledge, extend my skills and improve my abilities in all sectors. Particularly in relation to Blue Prism automation which is an RPA tool I gained external accreditation in, and coding languages I didn't cover at university such as Python and Java.
