I built and supported innovation capability and advocacy within the employee network at the City of Casey.• Assisted in the development of the Innovation Maturity model endorsed by the executive team, built supporting processes, and a pipeline of innovation initiatives. • Delivered the successful Sparking Innovation Festival to showcase Innovation at Casey. The virtual event was attended by ~50 staff, including senior leaders. • Produced the Casey Innovation Toolkit. A curated set of ~40 innovation tools drawn from multiple disciplines selected for their usefulness to Casey teams. The toolkit made innovation consistent, accessible, and practice-based. • Designed, developed, and delivered the successful Innovation Bootcamp program. A 6 week intensive innovation sprint run quarterly that empowered employees to learn-by-doing. I led teams from across the organisation, helping them to apply innovation tools and processes to projects that were Strategic imperatives or Business Plan Actions. The program was been highly praised, helped create an ‘Innovation Brand’, and scaled successfully into an incubator and Living Lab. • Worked with my team to develop the policy, partnership framework, and platform for the Casey Living Lab. I was responsible for building the Living Lab program by putting strategy to practice, resulting in the Digital Equity Living Lab Pilot. • Regularly consulted with teams and leaders across all divisions, responding to identified business needs, building relationships, improving innovation and development processes, and facilitating a range of practical workshops (50+ workshops in 12 months).

Australian Government Innovation Connections funded Research and Development project linking Swinburne University researchers with Perroplas, an Australian SME. As part of a multidisciplinary team I conducted user-centered research to identify new applications to utilise stranded plastic injection moulding assets. I delivered research insights report and documentation of the innovation process to build capability at Perroplas. In addition to conducting user research and design work, I also managed external designers and user researchers, ensuring quality of research and design outcomes, and delivered four proof of concept prototypes of assistive devices to Perroplas.

The project investigated new applications for printed flexible solar cells in the construction industry. I conducted user-research, delivered a strategic research insight report analysing insights, produced concept renders, attracted funding, and proposed potential future applications for ongoing technology development.

Funded innovation partnership between Swinburne University and Visy IndustriesWorking on a funded Research and Development project for Visy Industries, as a Swinburne researcher I Investigated feasible, viable, and desirable applications for recycled waste materials to help solve Australia's growing waste problem. I planned, facilitated, and analysed multi-day creative workshops, as well as conducted interviews with industry representatives and academics. Informed by iterative research phases I applied a Design Thinking process to identify and develop useful applications for recycled waste products. I validated proposed solutions with cost analysis and research insights, and delivered strategic insights report and recommendations to Visy that would impact recycling policy and ongoing research and development.
