Responsible for Technically Leading the department's engine dynamometer, engine mapping, vehicle calibration, validation and verification projects on three simultaneous OEM global vehicle projects. Key Objectives;• Chair calibration technical team meeting. A weekly meeting to steer the group's daily activities, table technical reports and engage in cross-discipline problem-solving.• Chair of Powertrain Development - Engine Dyno Laboratory work interface meeting. Aimed at driving improved efficiency in workflow, data control and testing methodology between the two departments.• Conduct calibration team training including 1:1 or group-based mentoring and learning, in specialist fields such as engine mapping.• Day-to-day vehicle product development project management from prototype stage to production hardware and software releases.• Facilitating and encouraging a statistical, data-driven approach to problem-solving and system development.Daily duties;• Fuel efficiency analysis.• Exhaust feed gas and tailpipe emissions testing & optimisation.• Climate trip and test track vehicle verification and validation testing.• Dyno tuning & engine mapping.• Fuels knowledge base, inventory planning and application recommendations.• Engine combustion analysis, including mobile in-vehicle systems such as AVL-Indimicro.• Prototype engine development.• Control systems hardware & software development.• Vehicle Performance development and tuning.
