http://hoffme15.wixsite.com/alexhoffmeyer I am currently a Media and Info student at MSU with a focus on audio and film production, but my passion is deeply rooted in music. I am always looking different outlets to make music, like the Spartan Marching Band and MSU Concert Band, in which I play Alto Saxophone. I am currently in two rock bands, one is named Polyakov, and the other one is still under works. Finding ways to incorporate original music into my school projects has been quite satisfying, and I have recorded much of it solo including, but not limited to, piano/keyboard, acoustic guitar, electric bass, alto/tenor saxophone, electronic music, and even 8-bit music using online resources. Even though I'm currently not employed in my field of study, I have previous experience in audio/video work. Making videos has been a hobby of mine since a young age, using a standard definition camera and windows movie maker to create my videos. In high school I took as many video related classes as possible and created PSA's for our school's daily video announcements that I made with with my friend throughout our senior year of high school. Spring semester my freshman year of college I decided to abandon the Computer Engineering major for my current major. The summer semester following I was allowed to go on the MSU Beyond Bollywood study abroad and co-edited the short film we made as well as did some low key audio production.I took on many audio related projects in high school whenever I got the opportunity and in college got a job with MSU Recording Services, where I am no longer employed, yet value the experience that I got during my time there. I look forward to finding more jobs which allow me to utilize the skills I am currently learning here at Michigan State. I am not limiting myself to one career path at the current moment so I can continue to build a broad skill set for my future endeavors.
