I am the Director of Research Administration for the newest school at UVA, the School of Data Science. I manage the pre-award and post-award administration of our growing portfolio of grants. In collaboration with my colleagues, our goal is to build an innovative and well-funded research program.

I spent eleven years as the Research Administrator for the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics at the University of Virginia, where I oversaw the research portfolio for 20 faculty investigators. I performed all of the pre-award functions and oversaw the post-award management of a mix of grants, gifts and various internal research funding sources. I was the effort coordinator for our department and co-managed labor distribution with the department administrator. I also assisted with the annual budgeting process and provided financial reporting and analysis as required to the Chair.

As Finance Manager I was responsible for the overall financial management of the center. I also managed the fiscal and administrative aspects of the research portfolio of the center. This included pre- and post-award management of NIH and foundation grants, gift accounts, and industry sponsored accounts. I also negotiated the budgets for clinical trials with industry sponsors.

I was the Administrator for the Center for Research in Reproduction, a UVA School of Medicine research center focused on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom (PCOS) funded by an NIH U54 Center award with multiple Cores and Projects. I coordinated successful competitive renewals for both the U54 center award and a post-doctoral T32 institutional training grant. I managed billing for two core labs, including an open core serving thirty plus NIH-approved outside institutions.

I taught courses in New Testament and Biblical Theology. I also served as the Librarian and spearheaded a development project to expand the collection through donations from theological libraries in the West.

My area of research interest is in free church Protestant movements in Central Europe, with a particular focus on the Kingdom of Hungary.
