Coordinate services or referrals for SSS participants including, but not limited to: peer and/or professional tutoring, course advisement, financial services, career coaching, and accessibility services. Develop appropriate learning opportunities and understandable instructional materials for students’ individual needs through use of Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI), early alert system and other available data. Create and monitor individual action plans for participants. Plan and conduct monthly educational workshops to improve students’ academic and professional skills. Serve as instructor for SSS 101: Designing Student Success and SSS 102: Achieving Personal Leadership. Create curriculum, develop lesson plans, deliver assessment and evaluate course outcomes. TRIO Student Support Services provides specialized services for first-generation, limited income and students with disabilities. As a Student Success Coordinator I facilitate and coordinate academic, personal and career development through advising and workshops. I also provide information related to self-development, motivation, graduate school admission requirements, and research scholarship opportunities for participants. Part of my role also involves the coordination of a peer mentor program for first year students.

Providing specialized services and support for students who are first generation, low-income and/or have a disability. These services include academic advising, financial aid, one-on-one tutor opportunities, as well as numerous activities for social and academic advancement. Experience includes working with students individually and creating workshops for personal, professional and social enrichment.
