Alex is a chartered water and environmental manager and has 15 years’ experience in contaminated land investigation, quantitative risk assessment and remediation options appraisal on a wide variety of contaminated sites, for both private and public sector clients. Alex has worked on a number of large scale projects including the regeneration and remediation of airports, waste transfer stations, landfills, decommissioned oil refineries, steelworks, powerstations, petrochemical plants and active petroleum storage depots. Particular areas of experience include multi-discipline project management, site investigation design and implementation, contaminated land data management and coordination, remediation method statement development, demolition management, material management, validation of works, environmental audits for large portfolios and management of site works.Alex is currently the team leader of the Ground and Water team at WSP in Hertford and Cambridge.His key skills include:■ Multi Discipline Project Management■ Financial and Commercial Management■ Project Coordination and Management of regeneration and remediation projects on contaminated sites■ Phase I and Phase II geo-environmental site characterisation■ Geo-environmental ground investigation design, implementation, assessment and interpretation■ Controlled water and human health Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)■ Remedial options appraisal and development of remedial strategies■ Validation and Verification of remediation and site works■ Site management of ground investigations and overall site works including contaminated sites and landfill sites.■ Materials ground management and re-use of site won materials and production of materials management plans■ Demolition Management■ Input into masterplanning, development design and discharge of planning conditions■ Environmental Statements and input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
