My expertise encompasses different aspects of strategic communications, media relations, social media and digital marketing. Due to my keen observation and analytical skills, I possess an ability to conceptualize promotional content in a manner that captivates audiences, while promoting key messages and branding. I have a clear understanding of company imaging and the ability the craft releases, and messages, that reflect the image of a specific company and/or project. I am a firm believer in quantifying returns on investments, with appropriate performance metrics; this is what drives me to devise result-oriented communication plans. Through my education and work experience, I have been trained to be able to create and implement strategic plans that involve different departments within an organization.I have worked on a funded research project that addressed the need in Public Relations theory, and practice, for insight into how public relations can better integrate and measure the impact of two-way communication in the owned, earned or paid social media space. The research drew on Grunig and Hunt’s (1984) Excellence Theory. The team created a visual toolkit that will allow public relations professionals to see a flow of communication, indicated in the shape of the visual representation, providing insights into the nature of the two-way relationship represented in social media usage.
