I am currently working to complete my Bachelor of Science in Management and Leadership with minors in Construction Management and Industrial Management at Missouri State University. Throughout my secondary education, I have gained knowledge in the construction field. I spent my time at State Tech learning about civil engineering technology where I then applied my knowledge during my summer internship with Horner Shiffrin. I was also the President of State Technical College's Associated General Contractors of America student chapter. My responsibilities included creating meeting minutes, ensuring proper attendance, writing monthly newsletters for our AGC chapter, creating campus involvement, and ensuring volunteer hours were met. After my time concluded at State Tech, I then went back to Missouri State University to complete my bachelors degree. During my time at Missouri State University, I have been on the Mu-Rho chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternities' executive council twice. A few of my responsibilities in those positions have consisted of structuring our chapters academic requirements along with setting up helpful study tools, organizing chapter relationships with local and national companies, and lastly maintaining accurate meeting minutes and a record of all chapter activities. In addition to my participation on the executive council, I have also joined the Construction Club. Missouri State's construction club holds a meeting every month with a notable company from the Midwest region. During the meeting, the highlighted company gives insight into the construction industry in hopes that it helps us to have a better understanding of industry requirements. Along with the monthly meetings, construction club also hosts different events throughout the school year. Some of these events include a fall BBQ to kick of the school year, canned-food drives to help out local shelters, and an end of year golf-tournament that brings students and contractors together. I am thankful I have been able to attend different schools as it has provided great opportunities to get involved on campus and within my chosen career field.
