Alex Nagy has diverse experience in department and program management, project management, engineering, strategic planning, community planning and development, board governance, and quasi-judicial appeals tribunals. The majority of his career has been spent in the private sector plus 9 years in the public sector. He provided consulting services to a diverse range of clients including large to small municipalities, private land development companies, provincial and federal governments and industrial and oil companies. He was recently appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council of Alberta as a member of the Alberta Land and Property Rights Tribunal (an amalgamation of the Land Compensation Board, Municipal Government Board, New Home Buyer Protection Board, and Surface Rights Board). Presently, he is also a member of the City of Edmonton Subdivision and Development Appeal Board and a Public Member (Appointed by the Province of Alberta) of Supply Chain Canada West Board of Directors. He is a past member of the Edmonton and Area Land Trust Board of Directors. He volunteered for the Mentoring Program of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). He is a Life Member of APEGA. He recently retired from full time employment. He enjoys travel, nature, and the great outdoors.
