Alex is a trade qualified heavy equipment Diesel Mechanic, with over 18 years of experience in the civil & mining equipment repair industry. A Caterpillar dealer apprentice of the year award winner, Alex has a wealth of experience with Caterpillar Equipment. He takes great pride in having established Overall Heavy Equipment Pty Ltd in 2009 to provide South Australia with a highly professional service outside of the typical machinery dealer network. Over the past 10 years Alex has employed over 35 staff and with the help of handpicked, competent senior technicians around him, grew to business be the second largest field service mechanical support provider to the earthmoving & mining industry in South Australia. Alex is a highly motivated leader and teacher who takes great pleasure in having groomed a number of young apprentices over the years, whom he insisted all complete additional OHE apprentice presentations and talk topics to further their knowledge and understanding of the industry before embarking on their own journeys. After the unfortunate collapse of the iron ore price in 2015, Alex was forced to downsize and consolidate the business. In 2017 he decided to relocate OHE to Ballina, NSW with a vision of re establishing OHE to offer the same professional and specialised service to the vibrant and rapidly growing Northern Rivers region of northern NSW and southern QLD.
