I oversee all internal and external communications for the Center for Innovation, the non-profit home of The Green House Project and Pioneer Network, with a particular emphasis on educating key stakeholders — elected officials, policymakers, providers, and advocates — on the benefits of person-directed alternatives to institutional eldercare settings.Using my extensive knowledge of post-acute and long-term care reimbursement, finance, and policy, I work to expand CFI's reach to more elders across the country and the world.

I oversaw the operations of Skilled Nursing News, a daily online trade publication covering the long-term and post-acute health care industry. I helped Aging Media Network launch the site in the spring of 2017 and shaped its editorial focus over the coming four years — with a particular eye toward the intersection of policy and finance.I supervised reporters, assigning stories and editing work for accuracy and clarity, while also reporting and writing multiple stories per day, including both breaking news pieces and features.

Chicago

While helping to launch and develop Skilled Nursing News, I also covered the federal Home Equity Conversion Mortgage industry for Reverse Mortgage Daily, another trade publication within the Aging Media family. I developed contacts in both the mortgage lending industry and various levels of government — including the Department of Housing and Urban Development and state and federal lawmakers' offices — to provide news and analysis.

Boston

I managed a team of writers in the Boston and Los Angeles offices of this mid-sized financial services company, providing guidance on the content, style, and layout of appraisal reports for national banks and other lenders. I gave final approval on all copy while managing workflow and coordinating with other teams to make deadlines.

Framingham, Mass.

I proofread copy and designed newspaper pages for nearly 30 weekly publications in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Colorado.

Quincy, Mass.

I wrote multiple weekly features about local businesses across the South Shore of Massachusetts, along with breaking news stories as needed.
