Project Manager
CurrentI have managed a wide range of projects spanning the Met Office’s functions including the PWS Stay Safe Project and the Autonomous Vehicles (CAV SAF) Project. I am able to quickly assimilate project requirements and engage effectively with stakeholders across all levels, both internally and externally. I have received very positive feedback on my ability to establish a rapport, my attention to detail and my tact when dealing with tense situations.I am passionate about being an inclusive and supportive leader. My strengths are pattern recognition, seeing connections, atypical problem solving and creating user friendly systems and processes. In the Met Office Awards for Excellence in 2022, I was shortlisted for the Better Together Award as one of the team of Wellbeing Champions. I was also nominated with the Controlled and Autonomous Vehicles Sensor Assurance Framework Project under the We Keep Evolving category. I am proud of my work on the Automatic Marine Observing System 2X (AMOS2X) Implementation Project. Prior to this project I had worked on the development of the AMOS2X so I had a good understanding of the technical engineering elements of the project. I used my prior knowledge and experience to plan a robust timeline and comprehensive budget and resource requirements. This information formed the basis of a Business Case. The Business Case was approved, and stakeholders were impressed by the level of planning and detail that was submitted. I then managed the project through to completion across the marine networks. In October 2023 I set up and became lead of the Met Office Dyslexia and Dyspraxia Network. Through the network I support colleagues, mentor them and host regular meetings on topics such as assistive technology and how to plan and prioritise your workload. I also attend meetings to raise awareness of Dyslexia and Dyspraxia so that processes can be adapted to be more inclusive for everyone.
