An experienced meteorologist, specialising in aviation meteorology and synoptic and climatic observations. I spent 10 years working in the defence aviation sector as a forecaster, progressing in that time to manage teams of operational meteorologists both in the UK and in the Falkland Islands. I have spent two years managing operational observing networks that specialise in gathering climate, pollen, and rainfall data across the UK, and managed a team of network inspectors who were responsible for maintaining high quality observation stations.I am currently on a year-long secondment within the Met Office which is a dual role. With this role, 50% of my time is working as as a Squad Lead in our Defence Network, overseeing a number of our on-site teams at Defence stations, and 50% of my time is working as the Future Ways of Working Project SME within the Transformation team in the Met Office's Services Directorate.
