I am a teacher and tutor of middle and high school humanities. I also have experience tutoring undergraduates and graduate students in writing and reading comprehension. I have extensive experience working with learning-disabled students of secondary school age, including those with nonverbal learning disability, expressive language disability, executive function difficulties, attention issues, and dyslexia. I specialize in breaking down reading and writing strategies for students who struggle, but am also experienced and skilled at teaching more "mainstream" populations. My particular interests in professional development are curriculum design and adding more (appropriate) modern and diverse young adult literature to secondary English classrooms.
