    I challenged the entrenched regional approach for global customers and took responsibility for World Duty Free Group (WDFG) globally (working with the Regional Directors for The Americas and Middle East to ensure consistency and compliance of pricing, promotional planning and range assortment). This transformed WDFG from a loss making account in 2010 to profit in 2011, doubling again in value terms in 2012 and by 2013 entering the top 10 profit generators for the GTR channel. Core range cost prices increased by 21% on average in 24 months ensuring sustainable value growth ahead of volume.Oversaw a virtual team which included a regional marketing manager, a promotions & merchandising executive and a customer relations coordinator.Developed a defensible pricing strategy, reviewed and aligned customer pricing across all Mainland Europe accounts, this strategy was subsequently rolled out globally.In close collaboration with global marketing team I introduced a number of strategic range extensions including Glenfiddich Age of Discovery, The Balvenie Triple Cask range, Grants 12yo and 25yo and Tullamore DEW. These introductions increased NSV by 17.5% and Gross Contribution by 24%. The Glenfiddich Millennium Vintage: a pet project. With exceptionally short notice an opportunity arose to create an exclusive Single Malt for WDFG to celebrate the London Olympics. This gained us hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of advertising space across UK airports during the Olympic period for free. I lead a team from conception to delivery (within 3 months) resulting in best in class brand building and ‘Trinity Activation’ between William Grant & Sons, WDFG and BAA launching exclusively in Heathrow 12 days before the London Olympics and rolling out to 12 UK Airports with activations before extending globally across the WDFG estate. This project once implemented was transformational for the relationship and completed the commercial rebase of our joint business.
