• Increased responsibility to support the Commercial Director managing the cost base of c. £160m, including Month End reporting, monthly forecasting and annual budgets• Lead and manage monthly forecasting process working with business units and provide insight driving changes• Tracking and performance analysis against strategic growth initiatives and long range plans

• Responsible for managing the Credit Card cost base of c. £55m, including Month End reporting and forecasting (from monthly to five year strategic plan)• Lead finance contact for large third party servicing contracts and renegotiations (TSYS, Experian, Broadcom, MasterCard etc.)• Deliver annual run rate cost savings on an annual basis. Maintaining a flat cost base with an ever increasing customer portfolio• Provide support for business case development by evaluating impact of technology• Provide invaluable finance support to the business through the £1bn credit card migration to a new Virgin Money platform from MBNA• Develop and improve core planning processes and financial models to ensure consistency and efficiency across the group

• Internal management reports: Liquidity ratios, current assets and liabilities maturity• Production of the FSA047/FSA048 reports to Treasury – providing commentary and useful insight• Participated in the introduction and preparation of the bank’s reporting to meet the Basel III requirements• Responsible for Balance Sheet reconciliations for Money Markets• Responsible for testing on upgrading the existing systems – coordinating and working alongside with a variety of departments (Treasury, IT etc.)

• Simplification IT Portfolio lead (c. £310m) - co-ordination of Planning and Budgeting for Simplification (IT Division)• Production of financials for Board Level review for IT Simplification Business Cases for Costs and Benefits, by NPV and Payback periods vs. McKinsey Baseline• Establishment of End-to-End Benefits Tracking process, providing reasonable assurance to Group Audit of “banked / recognised” benefits• Monthly reviews with Initiative leads to gain an understanding of the Simplification portfolio across the IT Division

• Providing Finance leadership to Finance Business Partners (FBPs) on a daily basis (acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a number of initiatives (e.g. Software Capitalisation, IT Cost Template etc)• Acting as the Portfolio lead for CIO (overall portfolio of c. £330m) - Communicating the Month End activities and Reporting deadlines to FBPs, ensuring that IT Finance’s Financial Control deadlines are met in a timely and efficient manner• Responsible for the co-ordination of Planning and Budgeting for WICIT (Wealth & International, Central Functions and Insurance)• Completing Monthly and Periodic Management Reports• Holding monthly challenge meetings with FBPs to review the overall portfolio • Acting as an FBP for Global Payments portfolio (c.£35m) for a period of six months• Provision of Finance support to Project Managers – appraising Business Cases, treatments of transactions, forecasting and project governance

• Variance analysis and explanation to Directors and Senior Management for Budgets vs Actuals including the provision of Balance Sheet & Income Statement commentaries as well as Cost Centre reports • Complete periodic and ad hoc financial and management reports such as Training, Travel and Legal costs analysis• Responsible for SOX Compliance (Access Authorisation – SAP related issues) • Production and integrity of monthly actual figures• Re-organised the VAT for the expenses claimed by the Colgate employees for Ireland (deductible – non deductible)• Manage general ledger accounts including reviewing and processing journals for business units e.g. allocations and adjustments for 3 entities ranging from £2m to £160m turnover• Produce and ensure timely and accurate quarterly reports submissions to European Division Head Office such as Working Capital and Inventory summaries• Responsible for the accounting of the Shared Service Organisation IT which supports all European and African subsidiaries including accruals and prepayments to ensure the accurate position shown in the Income Statement
