Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead
Current- Providing direction on software design, architecture, and best practices to ensure high-quality code and efficient development processes.- Leading a team of software engineers, and mentoring Co-op students, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. Encouraging skill development and supporting career growth.- Onboarding and training team members on best practices and tools used in the workflow.- Conducting frequent code reviews to maintain code quality, enforcing coding standards, and providing constructive feedback. Ensuring the team understands and follows established processes.- Maintaining technical documentation, such as Wikis, and keeping it up to date, including development processes, design specifications, and API documentation.- Overseeing project timelines and deliverables, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and user needs. - Working closely with product managers, designers, and other teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.- Collaborating with the team to create deployment strategies, to enable smooth transitions from development to production environments. Coordinating with other teams to find optimal release dates and to ensure there are no conflicts between different teams' releases.- Working closely with DevOps and IT teams to ensure that deployment processes are followed correctly, and that they align with operational requirements and standards.- Diagnosing and resolving deployment-related issues, providing support during production rollouts. Establishing the rollback procedures to revert changes and ensuring that they are performed successfully if issues arise. Monitoring deployed applications for performance and errors.- Acting as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into understandable terms.
